Alexander Weimann, Arion Baroque Orchestra, and soprano Karina Gauvin won the 2013 Félix prize in the category of Album of the Year – Classical / Vocal for Prima Donna! The album pays tribute to baroque diva Anna Maria Strada del Pò, and features Ms. Gauvin in rarities by Vinci, Vivaldi and some of the greatest Handel arie di bravura. The CD also won the 2013 JUNO Award in its category and is nominated for the 2013 Opus Prize for “Album of the Year”. Prima Donna has received critical accolades around the world, including a 10/10 from Classics Today.
