Water turns to blood, flies buzz, and hailstones rain down as Handel leads us through the ten plagues, the crossing of the Red Sea, and the drowning of Pharoah’s armies.

The great biblical drama of liberation comes alive, as Alexander Weimann directs an all-star cast in this choral & orchestral tour de force by one of music history’s most imaginative storytellers.

Alexander Weimann, music director
Suzie LeBlanc & Shannon Mercer, sopranos
Reginald L. Mobley & Laura Pudwell, altos
Colin Balzer & Charles Daniels, tenors
Tyler Duncan & Sumner Thompson, baritones
Robert Macdonald, bass

Pacific Baroque Orchestra
– strings, flutes, oboes, bassoons, trombones, trumpets, timpani, harpsichords, organ

Early Music Vancouver Vocal Ensemble
– a double choir of 12 singers each, including the vocal soloists, augmented by West Coast choral singers
